The firm has provided legal services to the people of Macroom and the surrounding area since John Goold founded the practice in 1934, giving the firm the name under which it continues to trade. The firm expanded and amalgamated with T.P. Grainger, Solicitor in 1960 and was succeeded by the present Principal, Patrick G. Goold in 1976.
